In the Department of History at Tunghai University, I often hear teachers say a phrase, "Find yourself in the river of time." This phrase is not only a common saying among teachers but also frequently heard in various occasions within the department. Through my four years of study at Tunghai University, I have not only enhanced my professional knowledge but also discovered my interests and begun to make plans for the future.

The department offers a diverse range of courses covering various fields. In addition to traditional historical studies, there are also courses in applied history and research methodology, allowing us to engage with the discipline from different perspectives. This diversified curriculum design enables us to broaden our horizons and approach historical studies from various angles.

In addition to the courses offered by my department, I was also fortunate to participate in an exchange program at Nanjing University during the second semester of my junior year. Through learning in a different academic environment, I not only made many new friends who motivated each other in our studies, but also enriched my life experiences. During my time at Nanjing University, I had the opportunity to appreciate various styles of art and culture, which have become unforgettable memories in my life.

Aside from academics, the professors in our department also show great care and concern for us. As graduation approaches, they are always generous with their advice and recommendations regarding our further studies.
